Posted on Fri, 11 Sep 2015
Question: Hi
My baby Girl is 10 months old and yet hasn't cracked a tooth, is that normal?
Also, Someone suggested me Calcarea Phosp 6x (Homeopathic) and i bought it.
Haven't started giving it yet.
Is it safe to give her this med and if yes, what should be the dosage?
Also, I am giving her Sunsips and Hemsi PD once a day as per dosage, Is it safe to give them together or after some gap in between two?

Brief Answer:
In many children late eruptions occur

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone through the query and understand your concerns. Let me reassure you that there are children whose teeth erupt late and at the point of tooth eruption multiple teeth erupt simultaneously. If the child has normal developmental growth and there is perhaps nothing to worry. However, it might be worthwhile to visit a dentist and get a orthopanthomogram done to check for the evidence that all teeth are in formation beneath the gums. If it is so then there is nothing to worry about. Giver her safe soft chewable toys (should not be toxic) for her to chew upon. That should stimulate teeth eruption.

Unless there is developmental delay or other abnormalities, I would not be concerned about the genetic syndromes that could sometimes be associated with delayed tooth eruption.

Hemsi PD contains folic acid which may be given. It is safe to be given. Sun Sips contains Vitamin D3 which is essential to be given. Needless to say that it is safe. It does not matter if these two are given simultaneously or at a gap. I am not sure if the safety profile of Calcarea Phosp 6x is known or tested. You would have to consult some homeopathic doctor and see if he known about any safety studies pertaining to it.

Let me know if you have any other queries and I would be glad to help.

Regards
