What Would Cause A Big Sore With Blisters Inside After Using Efudex Cream?
Question: I was given Efudex cream to put on my lips because I had an area that was dry and crusty and a little hard. my lips became like a big sore and blistered inside. it doesn't seem to be healing as quickly as lips usually do and I stopped the cream 4 days ago. what does that mean?
I bought a light stim for pain relief. it seems too simple and ridiculous but I'ii try anything for pain relief. Is there any real proof that LED light works for pain relief or healing?

Effudex is a brand name of the drug flurouracil which is sometimes used topically(as ointment) for some skin conditions like actinic keratosis and thickened skin.
It can sometimes cause blisters and crusting as a side effect and it might have occurred in your case.
As of now you can try soft steroid ointment like triamcinolone over the affected lip. You can take analgesics like ibuprofen or diclofenac for pain. You can apply lignocaine mouth paste for pain. Most cases resolve well with this. If symptoms persist despite all these consult a dermatologist.
LED light does not provide any pain relief of wound healing apart from placebo effect.
