What Type Of Symptoms Would You Expect To See A

Question: What type of symptoms would you expect to see a young female with lupus and iron deficiency 19 years of age and approximately 125 pounds and has been incorrectly taking a daily dosage of 2.5 methotrexate along with regular prescriptions of sertraline, prednisone, plaquenil, two antibiotics and trazodone for 6 months? Would she survive? How would it potentially affect her? What would occur over twelve?

A pharmacist misinformed me, the person above described, of how to administer methotrexate at 2.5 mg. I took it per his wrong advice of taking it daily for two days and then took the rest with his correction on the third day, taking 6 (15mg ) in total. I am experiencing symptoms of loopiness and lapses in memory, my joint pain persists and my skin is clearly showing signs of flushed redness - my skin was nearly orange the second morning of the dosage, notably I am 3 quarters XXXXXXX XXXXXXX (lightskinned) , so the orange tinge looked as if I just came back from Cuba or something. I am also drowsy but full of energy (agitated) and I have not been able to eat a full meal in two months. My lupus is active and was active before the administration of this medication. Ive had renal and brain involvement in the past that was treated and damage was prevented. I am looking to find out the potential consequences of his misinformation and the things that might ensue with me having already incorrectly taken this.

Brief Answer:
Drug allergy

Detailed Answer:
Hi there

Thanks for the query

I know this is a difficult time for you due to the misinformation.

Methotrexate is usually taken weekly. It would not cause any drug interaction side effects with the other medication that you are taking although it needs to be ruled out if you have a drug allergy to Methotrexate.

Methotrexate can cause skin side effects similar to the ones you are experiencing and suggests drug allergy and may need to be stopped. I advise you go to the ED and consult the doctor there in this regard as it can be dangerous if the drug is continued.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

Regards.

I am looking to pursue legal action against this pharmacist. Before I find a medical expert, can you tell me if you believe me taking this medication unknowingly on a daily basis would have caused me serious injury or death in the long term?
