Question: I have just (in the last two days) experienced lower back pain into my buttocks . It really hurts when I arch my back. I tried a muscle relaxer (baclofen) but no relief. I don’t remember injuring myself. It started on a thur evening and by fri I could hardly move. Now it’s Saturday and I am still in pain whenever I move.

Brief Answer:

Take treatment as advised.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Low back pain can be due to muscle spasm or disc related.

You can take the painkiller additionally with muscle relaxants like Aceclofenac or Etoricoxib with Thiocolchicoside or Tizanidine.

Dosing depends upon weight and build of the individual and may need a doctor's prescription.

Imaging of the spine (X-ray) may be required if symptoms persist beyond another 2-3 days or worsen.

Avoid stooping forward, lifting heavy objects.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care
