Brief Answer:
Heat effect shouldn't be something to worry about after 8 days.

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Welcome to Health Care Magic.
My name is Dr Muhammad Ahmad & i will look into your problem.

I have gone through your query and would try to help you in the best possible way.I fully understand your concern. It's good to know that uptill now you have fully followed the instructions by your dentist.

My opinion:

In my opinion 8 days is good enough a period for oral mucosa to heal, there shouldn't be any dry socket issue after 8 days of good care and following of dentist's instructions.

Your having no pain and other local issues show that it has healed well, heat after 8 days shouldn't have much effect on the extraction site.

My suggestions:

1- You can use steam room but for your own benefit use it for shorter period of time so that if there is any remote possibility of damage it is dealt with.
2-Don't breathe steam through mouth.
3.If you are concerned you can take heat insulated cold water bottle with you in the room and can keep it in mouth, that really works.

Conclusion:
1-You don't have to worry much about, heat damage or dry socket it seems to be healed well.
2-Try cutting short the duration of steam room for a few more days.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!
