Brief Answer:
Soap water hand wash, gloves and hypochlorite

Detailed Answer:
the protocol is
1
early diagnosis and initiation of treatment
2 isolate the patient with a separate bathroom. wear gloves before entering the room and remove them before exiting. wear a gown.
3 hand washing with soap and water for the patient especially after using the commode is recommended. as alcohol based handscrubs do not help in c difficile
4 environmental cleaning if surfaces wit 1 in 10 hypochlorite solution is recommended as c difficile can survive for weeks in dry environment
5 restrict indiscriminate antibiotic use
6 restrict acid suppression
hope this helps
