Brief Answer:
Have to wait on biopsy results

Detailed Answer:
hello and thank you for asking HCM,

I understand your concern, especially while it is about melanoma. It is hard to say how long someone will live with melanoma with just these informations. It is important to wait on pathohistology results of biopsy to see how cancer cells have spread. After that, doctors will make examination to see if other organs are affected. Only than, the oncologist who treats your father will be able to say you this information. But nowadays, with good therapeutic procedures, patients can be optimistic.
My suggestion is to try to make biopsy and proper examination of oncologist as soon as possible to save as much time as you can.

I hope this answer was helpful to you.
