What Is The Healing Time After Bartholin Surgery And Cesarean?

Question: Hello Doctor,

My wife went under the bartholine surgery at same time when she went for the cesarean delivery. Now barthlone is stitched and sometime it gives very much pain.
Is it expected at this point of time ?
How long does it take before wound heals.
Delivery and bartholin operation took place on 1st of aug.
Please guide us.

Normally, complete healing takes upto 6 weeks time.
So yes, there can be pain and discomfort in this area due to surgery.
She should have a follow up visit with the doctor to confirm that there is no re infection or pus collection.
Also, please take hot Sitz bath ( soaking in a tub of lukewarm water ) 5 - 6 times a day.
Avoid pressure on the area and sitting or squatting.
Apply hot compresses or hot water bottle to the area.
She can take painkillers for the pain.
