Brief Answer:
Dose is 10-12 mg/kg/day

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

The dose of Azithromycin for upper respiratory tract infection in this age is 10-12 mg/kg/day. It should be given once a day, before or after the meal. The syrup comes in a strength of 200 mg/5 ml and tablet in 250 mg/500 mg.

There can be abdominal discomfort or loose motion with Azithromycin. It's advised to take this medicine only after prescribed by a Pediatrician.
