What Is The Cause And Treatment For Throat Infection?

I am suffering from Throat infection (painful swallow of even saliva) for a month now, in between i consulted doctors and i was prescribed antibiotics dosage and have taken them as prescribed but it seems that this kept the infection on hold for 8-10 days and it is coming back now. Could you please suggest the way forward so it can be cured. The pain is so severe that i can't even sleep whole night.

I have gone through your query and feel that the antibiotic prescribed to you by your doctor would not be effective on the organism causing the throat infection.
I would advise you to see your doctor again to change the antibiotics and to know the sensitive of organism to the group of drugs your doctor may advise you to go for throat swab culture and sensitivity.
For time being follow these measures:
1. XXXXXXX warm salt water gargling three to four times a day.
2. Oral Lozenges like strepsils or XXXXXXX as much as required.
3. Consume only boiled water.
4. Avoid cold and refrigerated food items.
5. You can take Nicip plus and syp Grilinticus if you have fever and cough.

Thank you very much . As of now i am travelling and will see the doctor again as soon as i will be back, this may take 3 days, is it ok to delay this for 3 days, while i will be following the measures suggested above.
