Question: Hi,
I have these white/skin coloured bumps around my belly button. They are also present on the shaft of my penis.

I'm a 28 year old married male. I have attached an image of the skin around the belly button.

it doesn't itch or bother me. should I have it checked out by a doctor?

Brief Answer:
No active intervention required

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thank you for posting on HCM.
I can understand your concern regarding the skin condition.
From the keen observation of your description and photograph, it seems pretty clear that you are having a condition called Lichen Nitidus.
Lichen nitidus is rare inflammatory skin disease of unknown cause where tiny skin colored flat papules are seen over trunk, extremities an genitalia. Usually asymptomatic and have spontaneous resolution. As such there is nothing to worry as they are harmless with no risk of any major systemic implications.
Though spontaneous resolution is seen in majority of cases, no clear cut treatment guidelines are laid out. Topical steroids like mometasone with salicyclic acid or topical retinoids like tretinoin can be tried to expedete the resolution. Antihistaminics can taken if there is associated itching.
But frankly speaking if the lesions are not troublesome, I would best recommend to leave it as such.
Hope the answer was useful to you.
If you require any more assistance from my side please let me know.
Thank you and take care
