Posted on Fri, 5 Sep 2014
Question: Hello Doctor, I am experiencing hair loss from past 4 years and day by day losing a lot of hair. Earlier I had good thick hair and I applied garnier which gradually resulted in losing hair. Later I started using coconut oil assuming there would be a positive result. So can u please suggest me what measures should I take.

Hello XXXXXXX
Thank you for posting on HCM.
I can understand your apprehension regarding the hair fall problem and I will make sure your query is resolved in best manner.
From your description it seems you are having androgenetic alopecia but still its difficult to point specific diagnosis in absence of clinical examination.
Therefore, I insist you to post good clinical pictures to me so that I can help you in a better way. Try to take pictures from front and side view with your hair retracted towards top with hand or comb.
Thanks
Dr Hardik Pitroda
