This is from the same article and only slightly WRONG. ETG is a side effect of liver metabolism of alcohol. Only a little of this is made and most alcohol is burnt as energy to carbon dioxide OR stored as fat OR breathed out or passed in the urine. This hasn't been studied BUT if you don't have a liver, you make less of it, so with a LOT of alcohol drinking to the point of dying from alcoholic cirrhosis, you make less of the ETG and it is harder to detect. Cannot say in your particular case, but if you are still smart enough to ask the question, you probably are not that far gone.

The dilution of ETG in the urine is ONLY PROPORTIONAL to dilution. If you dilute the urine by drinking water by half, the ETG level is half BUT the markers of how concentrated the urine is, are diluted just the same and this can always be detected and countered. If the urine is too dilute, then you fail the test.
I doubt there is another way to clear the urine. There are ways to mess up the test but these would be detectable and would definitely produce a failed test result.

Certainly don't make the alcohol easier to detect by not drinking any water. And a gallon of water a day is a normal amount to drink in the heat and will clear ETG a bit faster.

If you just poured in tap water into the urine, the ETG in it would be diluted out. BUT so would everything else in the urine including creatinine. The low creatinine would be flagged as an indicator that the urine was diluted either by adding water or drinking it.
