Brief Answer:
See below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for asking on HCM!
At first you should know that the adrenal glands are 2 small endocrine glands, located over each kidney. They have a very important role in our body as they are responsible for the production of cortisol, adrenaline and sex hormones.
Cortisol is a hormone that keeps a good balance of the blood pressure, the blood sugar, electrolites ect.
Adrenal insufficiency or XXXXXXX disease means that the adrenal glands do not produce enough cortsol.
The absence of cortisol in our body can be fatal.
It is manifested with low blood pressure, low blood sugar, hypokalemia that causes arythmia ect.
The main cause of adrenal insufficiency is an autoimmune process that destroys the glands.
An inappropriate interruption of the corticosteroids therapy may cause a transitory adrenal insufficiency.
The treatment consists in substitution of the hormone that xan not be produced. Hydrocortisone is the most appropriate in these cases.

Brief Answer:
Yes, it can be treated.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,
Yes. Hydrocortisone substitutes perfectly the function of the adrenal gland.
Usually persons diagnosed with adrenal insufficiency are trained to raise the doses in special situations and are provided with a card where the diagnosis is written. They should take it always with them, so in cases of emergency the medical equipment must know the diagnosis.
Will be a pleasure to answer further queries.
Wish you good health.
