What Is Continuous Diarrhea For Over Several Months A Symptom Of?

Question: have had contious dirahra for past several months, have tried several medications Prevalite 3 times a day. Recently trying Vibersi 75mg 1 tablet twice a day, ect. Had colonospicy, all came back clear.

Prevalite is a cholesterol-lowering drug, cholestyramine which is also related to steatorrhea and belching as adverse effects.

Viberzi (Eluxadoline) is an opioid receptor agonist used to treat irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea (IBS-D).

Most likely you are having Irritable bowel syndrome which is diarrhea predominant. I usually add on Rifaximin for at least a month along with Enterogermina probiotic following its completion.

A new drug should be tried for at least a month before another drug is tried or replaced in IBS. It's a long road in IBS in terms of determining what works for an individual as there are many other options, too.

Thank you again for your assistance, but my daughter is on medicare and we can not afford the cost of this medicine. We have not given up and are still trying to find the answer.
