Hi,
Welcome to XXXXXXX
In a man of age 88, the systolic should be between 140 and 150 with a diastolic of 80 and 90 It is probably safe to say that beyond age 80, using medications to treat a person whose blood pressure is below 145 systolic may not be necessary.
So in a 88 year old man in fairly good health, the systolic should be between 140 and 150 mm of Hg with a diastolic of 80 and 90 mm of Hg.
After literature search i got one chart which suggests for person Age 60-64, Minimum 121/83, Average 134/87, Maximum 147/91. Chart doesn't go higher than age 64.
Hope I have provided the information you needed.
Wish you good health. Take care.
