What Food Or Supplement Should I Add To My Daily Diet To Improve My Immune System?

Question: Hello Doctor,

I have been taking Bicalutamide daily since 2/8/2018, and I started Lupron injection since 2/15/2018. This treatment is for my prostate cancer. As expected my RBC has been going down slowly as expected. Now, my RBC level is below the normal safe range, and my resistance from catching a cold has become weaker.

My question is this: what food and/or supplement I should add to my daily diet so that I can improve my immune system?

Thank you in advance for your response. With our best regards.

Brief Answer:
Eat more green leafy vegetables and meat

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Since you are having prostate cancer and is under treatment to increase your immune system you need to eat more green leafy vegetables like cabbage and broccoli. Also, protein in the form of egg white and chicken are also good to boost your immune system.
