I have just started to potty train my 2.5 year old son (who is amazing and healthy- no prior medical issues) with the portable potty (using bags) I noticed white particles floating in the urine. I never noticed this before because it has always been in a potty at home that I immediately emptied into the toilet. First time Mom and scared!

Brief Answer:
could be epithelial cells or infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to health care magic.
White particles floating in the urine could be epithelial cells which can be normally present without any abnormality.
Even pus cells in the presence of infection can give rise to similar picture.
I would advice you to get his urine tested for complete examination .
Mist likely there will be nothing to worry of.
Regards
Dr Arun
