Brief Answer:
It requires examination to rule out complications like corneal edema.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Health care magic

I am Dr. DADAPEER K, an Ophthalmologist and I answer health problems related to eye.

I reviewed your history.
It seems from the history that your mother is having poor vision following cataract surgery.
Normally the vision will improve following cataract surgery and the complete visual improvement will occur in 4-6 weeks.
The causes for poor vision are inflammation induced by surgery, infection following surgery, complications like bullous keratopathy, corneal edema....

White appearance of the eye indicate a probable corneal edema. This requires treatment by the use of drugs which lower the edema of the cornea like hypertonic saline. If the damage to the cornea is extensive then it may require second surgery like keratoplasty.
If possible do send me a photo of the eye so that I can confirm the diagnosis and advice you accurately.
You need to consult your ophthalmologist and discuss with him regarding these possibilities and further treatment accordingly.

Hope I have answered your question and the information is helpful to you.
Do write back to me for further questions.

Thank you

Kindly send the images.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for the follow up question.

The vision should improve following cataract surgery. Since it is 3 months following surgery we need to evaluate and find out the underlying cause for poor vision.

I am not able to find any photo attached with the question.
Kindly send the photos. If in case of any problem please contact our customer care team. Once I receive the photo I will get back to you.

Brief Answer:
The outer part of the eye appearsto be hazy.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for the follow up question.

I saw the photos sent to mail.

The eye appears to be having corneal edema and hazy cornea.
This needs evaluation by a ophthalmologist preferably by a cornea specialist.
No need to be worried as this can be treated.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for confirmation of diagnosis by examination and do write back to me with the examination reports.
Depending on the problem we can decide on further management.

Thank you
