Brief Answer:
Symptoms suggestive of carpal tunnel syndrome.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.

Your symptoms suggestive of carpal tunnel syndrome. In Carpal tunnel syndrome there is nerve (Median) compression at wrist. This leads to numbness and tingling sensation in thumb, pointer finger and difficulty in doing fine work. May be confirmed by nerve study (EMG/NCV).

Mild symptoms usually can be treated with home care. You can:
1. Stop activities that cause numbness and pain. Rest your wrist longer between activities.
2. Ice your wrist for 10 to 15 minutes 1 or 2 times an hour.
3. Try taking Ibuprofen to relieve pain and reduce swelling.
4. Wear a wrist splint at night. This takes pressure off the median nerve.
The sooner you start treatment, the better your chances of stopping symptoms and preventing long-term damage to the nerve.

Physical therapy in form of ultrasound, stretching, and range-of-motion exercises will be helpful to relieve the symptoms.

I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.

Take care
