What Does This Semen Analysis Report Suggest?

Question: Hi Doctor,

Semen Analysis:
Total sperm count is 72 m/ml
motility is 50
upon ejaculation 40(30 % Active & 10 % sluggish
After 3 hrs: 30(20% active & 10% Sluggish)
Abnormal forms: 10%
Leukocytes: 4-5 /hpf
Epithelial Cells: not seen
RBC's Not seen
Fructose: Normal
Kindly advice me medicines to increase the quality and quantity of the sperm

A small correction in the above analysis.
In the Semen Analysis given on the top there is a small correction
motility is 40 % not 50 % typo error <---------A small correction in the above analysis.

Adding to the above analysis doctor advised me to have UBIQ Gold 7.5 g sachets daily 2 times a day.I have been taking this medicine since 15th January 2015
Kindly advice so as to relieve me from tension.

Adding to the above mail...after using the medicine for 4 months daily i went for analysis again but i see the motility still remains the same(40%(30 % active and 10% sluggish)). At this point my worry started. Kindly advice me in getting out of this tension.

Hi,

40 percent motility is not very abnormal. It is just 10 percent less ( 50 percent is normal). This cannot be a reason for infertility as other parameters are normal and motility is only marginally lower.

I dont see any reason for tension. You can conceive with this report. I suggest you get your wife also investigated.

Meanwhile follow below instructions:

1) Stop smoking and alcohol if you have habits.

2) Follow diet and exercise to lose weight if you are overweight.

3) Wear loose underpants and pants.

Get your wife's investigations done for complete analysis.
