Posted on Fri, 5 Sep 2014
Question:
Hi, i am 29. I was at 14 weeks when got this test done, I'm 20 weeks now. Got these results for quadruple mark test, but I didn't understand the results. I checked online and it says the ng/mL have to be converted to MOMs. Basically I want to translate the results in to a regular persons language, to know the risk ratios for each of the chromosomal markers, if the results are good or not?
My results:
AFP 37.07 ng/mL
hCG 9555.59 ng/mL
Estriol 0.52 ng/mL
Inhibina A 103.0 ng/mL

Thank you for your help

Brief Answer:
lab graphs needed

Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
Quadruple test needs certain composite charts which are adjusted for age and gestation period of the female and are interpreted with comparison with normal which are different for each laboratory
In crux numeric value of result is not important because same value can be normal for your statistics and abnormal for other female.
So just see the result written by the laboratory and that will suffice.
Or if they have given the graphs which some labs give then you can scan it and send to me.
In case you have other questions I will be happy to help.
