Brief Answer:
Means everything is normal.

Detailed Answer:
HI

Thanks for posting your query.

Kindly let me know on what sample of yours test was done.

Gram stain is a test where the sample is stained with a XXXXXXX and seen under the microscope. It shows both harmful bacteria that causes the disease and the harmless bacteria that is normally present in the body .

But Culture is a test where only harmful bacteria are grown ( if present in the sample )

So if a culture is showing no growth means there are no harmful bacteria and what was seen in gram stain is only Harmless bacteria.

Hope this answers your query.

I was asked to test urine routine and urine culture. If all are normal, what could be the reason for burning sensation while urinating , frequent urination and scanty flow.

Thanks!

Brief Answer:
It could be fungal Infection.

Detailed Answer:
HI XXXXXXX

See if Urine culture test was given after starting antibiotics then the culture may come falsely negative.

Other possibility is there might be a fungal infection and a normal urine culture will not detect fungus , for that a separate Urine Fungal culture has to be done .

Other possibility for Scanty and frequent urination is Enlargement of Prostate Gland . This can be confirmed by doing an Ultrasound Abdomen Pelvis scan .

I advise you to get Ultrasound Abdomen Pelvis scan and Urine Fungal culture and revert back with reports.

Hope this information was useful to you.
