Brief Answer:
I would explain as follows

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that considering her cardiovascular risk factors (diabetes) and her cardiac ultrasound finding, coronary artery disease can not be excluded.

So, I agree with your doctor on the decision of performing a cardiac stress test.

If the cardiac stress test raises suspicions of coronary artery disease, a coronary angiogram ( catheterization) would be the necessary to examine better the blood flow in the coronary arteries and detect possible vessel narrowing.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Feel free to ask me again whenever you need!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
