Doctor told that platelets transmission is difficult for babies. They told platelets transmission will be last option.

Brief Answer:
NO need for platelet transfusion unless there is active bleeding

Detailed Answer:
Hi.... I understand your concern. There is no need for active bleeding unless there is active bleeding in the baby.

Usually appearance of itching in the limbs and glove and stocking pattern of red rash in the limbs is suggestive of recovering dengue.

The trend is definitely showing a positive response. Don't worry.

In dengue fever, rather than platelet count...most important things are -

1. Swelling and water accumulation all over the body.
2. Decreased urine output
3. Respiratory distress
4. Seizures
5. Regarding lab tests - PCV or Hematocrit is more important than platelet count. If it is above 38 and the kid is not drinking water well, it is a danger sign.

If these are not there - you need not worry.
