Question: Hello, My wife is 46 age and she is an non alcoholic person. After the body check up, the report showed that GGT-476, ALT-320, AST-116, ALP-135, WBC-11.5, elevated platelet count-372, HBV status not checked. Last year, we did the same body check up, she appeared absolutely normal. I would like to know the chance of my wife getting a liver cancer. Thank you.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking on HCM.
I review all your's wife reports and I can say as follows:
1. She has high level of GGT plus AST and Alt, ALP is mildly elevated.
This is why she need to be examined again.
The main causes of all this pattern are:
- gallbladder issues ( she has 11,5 WBC that shows about infection too)
I need to know if she has fever or abdominal pain?
- liver issues like hepatitis, liver cancer.
2. This is why I suggest to do :
- abdominal ultrasound/ aabdominal MRI
- HBsAg plus Anti- HCV ( serological tests for hepatitis)
Hope it was helpful to you!
If you have other concerns I would be glad to assist you.
