Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to Health Care Magic.

Thanks for writing.

I am Dr.Muhammad Ahmad. I have read your question completely, i understand your concern and will try to help you in best way possible.

The term REACTIVE means lymph node biopsied has active processes going on in it, for lymph nodes reactive usually means that active cells are seen in the node which are usually found during inflammation or infection and sometimes inder cancerous conditions.

"Not Representative" means biopsy does not specifically show any specific disease, there may be a number of diseases causing it, so doctor wants a further work up and clinical correlation to find out the causative factor.

I would suggest you not to panic, just discuss the report and further proceding plan with your attending doctor everything will be fine.

I hope this answered your question, a
if you have more please feel free to ask.

Answered by Dr. Muhammad Ahmad (14 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
No it means it can be anything may be infection or inflammation

Detailed Answer:
No it means that lymph node is active and it needs further evaluation and tests to know what is the cause it may be inflammation or infection not necessarily any cancer.Just needs discussion and further looking into the matter by you doctor. This biopsy is not specific untill further related investigations are not done.

I would suggest you to follow up with your doctor and discuss what to do next. because this biopsy isn't diagnostic it will only aod with the diagnosis.
