I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
T2 hyperintense brain lesions at this age may be due to age related small vessel atherosclerosis, hypertension or diabetes related vasculopathy.
Multiple sclerosis is another radiological diagnosis but requires evaluation of MRI images. Further at this age multiple sclerosis is less common.
Is there any history of diabetes, hypertension, stroke, renal disease or liver disease ?
Please get blood investigation i.e. blood sugar, Thyroid profile, vitamin B 12, renal function test, liver function test.
Blood pressure should also be measured.
Please Upload/attach any images or blood reports if available.

These lesions may affect memory if increasing in size and numbers and thus thorough work up is advisable.
