Brief Answer:
Above findings are marginally high but not in danger zone.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

First of all, I would clearly say your SGPT (103) and SGOT (53) with ALKALINE PHOSPHATE (142) are slightly or marginally high having no clinical significance in an otherwise healthy individual,so you are not in danger zone as you feel.

Serum SGOT and SGPT (depending upon the lab variations) are highly sensitive liver function tests as they might get easily elevated by unhealthy life style or poor eating habits or following fatty meal or even mild alcohol intake (here not in your case).

But they usually do not get fluctuated by high blood sugar or insulin or any anti-hypertensive drugs.

So I would not be personally worried about this finding as a treating physician. Yet, I would be keen to monitor the level. Hence it is advisable to repeat liver enzymes on a fasting sample.(say after one week or two weeks)

So, considering your healthy life style (pure vegetarian, avoid oily/spicy foods) with no alcohol/smoking and all other liver functions normal, I do not think there is anything to be worried here.

However, as I mentioned earlier you can repeat the SGPT,SGOT and ALP on fasting blood sample to be in a safer side.

You can continue with vitamin B complex supplement and Tab.Pan-40 with other concurrent medications as prescribed by your doctor.

Hope this will help and let me know if you have more doubts.

Dr.Sandip Kabra
