What Does This EKG Report Indicate?

Question: Good evening,

Ever since I had A Fib, I am always worried something is wrong with me. I even purchased an EKG (Kardia) for my phone as well as Sp02 Monitor and Blood Pressure Monitor.

My Sp02 levels read 97-98% this evening and my blood pressure is 120/68. Attached is the EKG I just took.

My left calf is tight, and I am paranoid its related to something worse.

Do vitals show that I am making this up? There is no redness in my calf or anything.

Thank you & my apologies if I sound rediculous.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

I reviewed your uploaded images and would explain that they show only an increased heart rate, but with a regular rhythm.

This could be related to anxiety, as it is known to cause an increased heart rate.

Your blood pressure values and SPO2 are quite normal.

Considering the tightness in your calf, I would explain that it is probably related to a musculoskeletal pain, probably a stretched muscle.

I recommend taking ibuprofen and massaging this region.

If there is no swelling of the calf and the pain is relieved by the above tips, there is no reason to worry about.

Otherwise, if the calf swealls or if the pain persists or worsens in the next hours, I would recommend going to the ER for a Doppler ultrasound of the leg vessels.

Hope to have been helpful to you!

Feel free to ask me again whenever you have any other questions!

Kind regards,

Dr.Iliri
