Brief Answer:
Coronary Angiography is needed

Detailed Answer:
Hello Dear

After going through the medical details provided by you I can understand your concern for your father's health and I would like to tell you that :

1. Complain of left sided chest pain while walking is suggestive of ANGINA. Angina is basically a pain that occurs when heart muscles do not get adequate blood supply which usually is due to narrowing of the blood vessels of the heart due to plaque deposition or atherosclerosis inside them.

2. Your father's ECHO reports is also suggestive of a Coronary Artery Disease as his heart function is m idly low and LA and LV are dilated which happens due to ischemia (decreased blood supply).

3. If he smoke then he has to stop it now completely.

Now the next step is to know how much is the blockage in the vessels so that proper treatment can be decided on that grounds and for that Coronary Angiogram needs to be done.

I hope this information will be helpful. If you have any more doubts you can ask me back.

Kind regards
Dr Bhanu partap
