Brief Answer:
The anatomic location serves as a distinction.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. The key finding that could distinguish an urachal cyst is its midline location. A urachal cyst is a sinus remaining from the allantois during embryogenesis. It is a cyst which occurs in the remnants between the umbilicus and bladder. Structurally it might otherwise be indistinguishable from lipoma or liposarcoma. A liposarcoma being a malignant form would possibly be aggressively growing and therefore could have a rough margin and could lack a proper cystic structure.

Let me know if I could help further.

Brief Answer:
No need to worry

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. If it is simply a cystic structure you need not worry. An urachal cyst is unlikely to extend to the inguinal canal but inguinal hernias may coexist as one anomaly is often associated with another.
