Brief Answer:
Trauma

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns that your mother is having chronic sinusitis.

As per your clinical details and reports, it appears to be sinusitis secondary to trauma.

Answer for your query.

Yes. Trauma can lead to sinusitis ( mucosal injury or traumatic injury to septum or trauma to frontal bone with sinuses can lead to bleeding with congestion, which slowly develops in to sinusitis in some cases with altered immunity). Related to turbinate hyper trophy, these are the the bones with respiratory mucosa and cilia maintains the patancy of nasal cavity and changes ( hypertrophy) there size due to obstruction ( deviated septum or allergic rhinitis).

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.
