What Does The Following Spinal MRI Findings Indicate?

Question: Hello, my name is XXXX. I had a MRI not long ago of my Cervical, Spinal Canal without contrast. Hyperintense STIR signal was noted within the right C3-C4 inferior facets. However, the finding said likely to degenerative change. Should this be further investigated? I also show a lesion on my left kidney and scattered bilateral pulmonary nodules which measure 7mm and are nonspecific. Also, my age is 56. Non-smoker for 25 years but smoked heavily for 16 years. Hello XXXXXXX I have gone through your question and understand your concern.

The spinal MRI findings are common findings and should be considered within normal limits in your age. There is no need for further investigation.

The left kidney lesion should be monitored in distance about its dimensions and nature. Ultrasonography is a non invasive exam which can be used for radiological follow ups. The same attitude should be reserved to the scattered pulmonary nodules. In case of a growing pattern, biopsy should be taken to make a hystological examination, but this is pneumologist competence.
