Question: what does it mean on nose swab when it says RARE EPITHELIAL CELLS and rare NEUTROPHILSon the results?

Thanks for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

you had been experiencing sinus infection and your doctor took a nasal smear. The results show rare epithelial cells and rare neutrophils. This does not show any sing of infection. If there were infection there would be high numbers of neutrophils as these are the white blood cells that fight infection.
