Question: History: Fever. Body aches and weakness.

Comment: Frontal and lateral views of the chest were obtained without
comparison.

Minimal increased markings left lung base. The lungs are otherwise
clear. No pleural effusion or pneumothorax. Cardiac mediastinal
silhouette within normal limits. No acute osseous changes evidence.

Impression
Minimal increased markings left lung base probably
atelectasis, minimal developing infiltrate not excluded, correlate
clinically.

Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
In my opinion you should not worry much about chest x ray report.
Viral infection of lung can sometimes give similar kind of picture on chest x ray. It is known as early infiltrates on chest x ray.
And age most common complication is secondary bacterial infection, which causes typical consolidation. But you should not worry for this as you are taking anti viral and broad spectrum antibiotic too.
So continue this treatment for 5 days. Also give her plenty of fluids.
If not improve in 5 days than get done repeat chest x ray.
If improving than no need for further treatment.
