Question: I had a biopsy and the diagnosis is post inflammatory melanosis how does this affect a person and what type of treatment is their for this and how serious is this

Post inflammatory melanosis is just excess skin pigment accumulation in area where previously there was inflammation. This inflammation could be from any cause, like infection, trauma, dermatitis, etc.

This is not a serious disease, doesn't lead to cancer. The outcome depends on the cause. Treatment also depends on the cause.

If the inflammation is gone then nothing much to do. Some topical preparations may be suggested by your dermatologist.
