Question: I would like to know if I am becoming a diabetic my hemoglobin a1c was 6.7

The HbA1c level you reported is high, when it is over 6.5% is suggestive for Diabetes.
You should check fasting glucose level and postprandial glucose too.
If you are overweight and have no cardiac pathologies, diet and physical activity is recommended for three months.
You should check also the lipid profile.
