Brief Answer:
No heart beat corresponds to a missed abortion!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this pregnancy with no heartbeat. I understand how disturbing this is and I hope you get to find the right ways to stay motivated and going.

A fetus without a heartbeat often suggests missed abortion. This happens when the fetus stops but the system fails to cause a spontaneous abortion. This is often caused by abnormality in the genetic make up of the fetus. The pill induced abortion in December is not a cause and it is not a contributing factor to this. If abortion were a possible cause, it would rather make conceiving and keeping the fetus in the uterus difficult and not the otherwise.

I will recommend that you doctors do examinations including blood tests, examination of the fetal tissue and genetic make up to understand the reasons for this. This way, we would be able to act on the information and prevent future occurrences. However, a majority of miscarriages never have an identified cause.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
