Brief Answer:
No need of cast or sling.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The removal of plate and screws involves small incisions at the site of screws. This can be done under regional anaesthesia. After the surgery small stitches are put at the site of incision. Any cast or sling is not required as the plate is removed after the bone has healed well.
The stitches usually heal in a week.
I hope this answers your query.

Thank you for the information. I am assuming I'll have to limit exercise or any sport like activity until the holes left in the bone heal? Should I not be using the arm after for some time?
