What Does My Urinalysis Test Report Indicate?

default
Posted on Mon, 2 May 2016
Question: Hi..i had done a urinalysis which shows nil in protein ,glucose , RBC.
However WBC is showing as 4.

The above parameters were tested by the doctor who says WBC below 5 is normal and nothing to worry.
The test was suggested to me so as to check if i am suffering some urinary infection or not.

Thanks

Brief Answer:
NO urinary infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM.

I have read your query and understand the concern.

WBC counts 4 in urine report is completely normal.

Usually we consider up to 5 WBCs in urine microscopy report as normal and clinically we consider even up to 10 WBCs as normal,so there is NO need to worry.

You DO NOT have urinary infection.

Brief Answer:
Welcome.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the quick reply. You are most welcome.

You might be right as precise medical answers are very difficult to get from google or searching plenty of websites since the diagnostic criteria are pretty much different clinically as compared to theory.

One should always take opinion from a qualified medical practitioner.

Again thanks for your feed back.

Wishing good health.
