Brief Answer:
Dominant follicle represents future ovum releasing follicle.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Madam.

I understand your concern.

This "dominant follicle" represents the future major(among several other follicles) follicle that is likely to undergo rupture and release ovum/egg.This process is known Ovulation.

Dominant follicle is seen in the later part of the ovarian cycle.

Post your further queries if any.

Thank you

Brief Answer:
Blood tests are less reliable.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Madam.

In case of severe pain the stomach, it is very important to rule out any ectopic pregnancy.

For this, a transvaginal ultrasound is the best modality.

Blood tests like Serum B-hCg although available is less reliable.

Brief Answer:
Ectopic pregnancy can be well treated if diagnosed early.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Madam.

I can understand your concern.

Please do not get tensed. The situation is not that intense as you would have assumed.

Lets us not speculate things.

This is not always life threatening.

If detected early EP can be handled well with medications if detected early.

Likewise many EP's fails to develop. They undergo spontaneous dissolution.

You can still have a normal intrauterine pregnancy in your next cycle.

Please get a scan and update me with the reports.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.
