Brief Answer:
Please do pap smear and then proceed

Detailed Answer:
Hi xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. The ultrasound scan shows that the uterus is mildly enlarged with the mouth of the uterus showing changes which are corresponding to increased growth. The ovaries are normal.

2. A hypertrophied cervix can be a pre cancer stage and you should get a pap smear done which is a simple test and the cells of the cervix will be examined under a microscope.

3. If the pap smear shows cancer cells or is suspicious for early cancer then you should get a cervical biopsy and surgery done immediately.

4. If no cancer cells are seen and you do not have any gynecological problems then you can wait and repeat the pap smear after 6 to 12 months.

5. In some cases women with gynecological problems require surgery even if pap smear is normal based on the clinical examination of the cervix.

Hope your query is answered.
Please do write back if you have any doubts.
