Brief Answer:
Please, can you provide the result slip?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for using healthcare magic.

Your CRP at 8.4mg/l in regard to cardiovascular risk places you in a high risk category. Values greater than 3mg/l are considered high risk following the XXXXXXX Heart Association definition. This needs to be factored into other evaluated heart risk factors before any concrete action can be taken. Remember that CRP may also represent an inflammation/infection processes and not necessarily heart disease.

I hope this helps. I wish you well and thank you for using our services. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Brief Answer:
It is normal!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

This test was done for a different purpose and cannot be used to evaluate coronary disease risk. It was requested for infection/inflammation and within that context there is nothing to worry about. If you had no worrisome symptoms and this was solely requested for heart disease, then the results would be representative of heart risk. This is not the case.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to keep the discussion going if need be.

Brief Answer:
There is no other test for this!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

If you have an infection or inflammation, this would be increased but this does not suggest a risk for heart disease. If this test were asked without suspicion of an infection and in the sole aim to assess for heart disease risk factor,, then I will say there is need to worry. But because this was not the aim, extrapolating would be difficult.

In all, for an infection or inflammation, this test is normal. If it were done for a heart disease risk factor search, then it is abnormal.

I hope this clarifies your doubt. Keep me posted and feel free as am here to assist you anytime.
