Prominence of extracerebral CSF spaces means that there is mild shrinkage of brain (reduced brain size and volume) in frontal and parietal regions.

This is a non-specific finding in most people, as there is no direct correlation between brain size and brain functions.

However, in a person with memory impairment or abnormality of brain functions, this finding could be significant. So, it depends on the symptoms.
