This worries me. Should I be worried? I made an appointment with a blood doctor but he can't see me for 5 weeks

Brief Answer:
Please upload entire reports for interpretation!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this increased WBC that you have reported. I will suggest that you upload the entire report as provide so that i can interpret it as a whole as looking at single parameters may be misleading. This way, I will provide a thorough interpretation and helpful response to you. In any case, this is not an emergency and can wait 5weeks before seeing a specialist unless something else comes up.

Brief Answer:
Thanks for these images!

Detailed Answer:
H,

I have reviewed the attached results fully. I will state that you need a differential white blood count as the absolute number tells us nothing about the possible cause of the increased WBC. Also, it will be very nice to do a blood smear to look at the different cells under the microscope.

Please, your blood lipids are not the best. Talk to your doctor about getting this addressed.

I wish you well and keep me posted.

Just received results from blood work which was done Monday, May2nd. Doctor tested vitamin B12 and Folate. My B12 was very high: 1497 pg/ml and Folate was 16.1 ng/ml. Everything I read regarding high WBC and vitamin B12 talks about cancer or hepatitis. Physically I have suffered migraines and night sweats as well as body pains---I have attributed these symptoms to pre-menopause as I am 45. These results have me thinking negatively.

Brief Answer:
Will not root for cancer at this time!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I will not go for cancers at this time. Most common cause of high VitB12 is excess consumption. I will suggest that you stay calm and let’s see whether other more defining symptoms add to help us make a definitive call. At this time, m not convinced there is cancer o be looked into.

Be relax and keep me posted if anything else comes up.
