Question: My daughter is 24 and just got married. The first one in March of Last year came back fine. Then she had another in 4 months later. Because she had had s few abnormal paps. Her wedding was 12/13/14. Her GYN. sent her to an oncologist. The report came back as follows: clinical information: cervical adencervical in situ......... Gross Description: cervical cone - received in formalin is a piece of pink soft-tan tissue with a central so. The specimen with blue ink.the ectocdrvical margins are indicated with black ink. The specimen is serially sectioned three blocks. 11 in toto.
Comment: both the rescidula adenocarcinoma in- in situ and the areas of squamous cell carcinoma in situ can be seen extent indie to the inked surgical margins. No invasive can was seen.


Now last Thursdy, she went back to the oncologist. Clinical information:
Carcinoma in-situ of the cervix, uteri.
Gross description description: "endocervical biopsy" multiple soft Gray-white glistening tissue. O.3 x 0.3 x p.1 cm in aggregate. One block.

Comment: XXXXXXX had a cervical biopsy approximately 4 months ago showing endocervical glandular adenocarcarcinoma in-situ(OS-14-5778.)

The present endocervical biopsy shows only tiny detached fragments of squamous mucosa, some of which shows high grade dysplasia. There is insufficient tissue to determine whether or not fully squamous cell.
Carcinoma in-situ is present. No glandulular cells are present in these biopsy fragments. Additional tissue analysis my be indicated upon specificicclinical circumstances. Clinical correlation is recommened.
