Question: What does lo level of hemoglobin (119) plus high leukocyte (500) mean? I am 54, just got told that my bone density test was surprising for someone my age, had chemo 3 years ago for breast cancer and am taking tamoxifen. All other results are within range other than B12 which is HI at 685 (I take B12 vitamins daily, 1,000)

Low hemoglobin suggests anemia.
High leucocyte count can be due to infection, inflammation or malignancy.
High B 12 levels is probably due to intake of vitamin B12.
You may stop B 12 for some time till levels come back to normal.
Its good that your bone density is appropriate for age.
Anemia is common among people having under gone chemo and / or radiotherapy.
You may take up a peripheral blood smear examination to know the type of anemia.
In addition, please post the differential counts to know the probable cause for raised white blood cell count.
