What Does My Blood Test Report Indicate?

default
Posted on Tue, 31 Jan 2017
Question: Hi! My blood test results stated evidence of past ebv. I understand that to mean at least 6-8 weeks ago. I have some days where I feel ok and some days where I just have an overall feeling of being unwell. This week my lymph nodes behind both ears and in front on my right ear are swollen. My hearing has finished in my right ear. My right shoulder is inflamed and sore. I had a massage and went to the chiropractor which seemed to help some but it's still tight and uncomfortable. I've read way too much online. Is all of this still related to ebv? What percentage of people get lymphoma after ebv? I'm 38 yo female typically in great health. This ebv has kicked my tail and kept me sick most of the year.

Brief Answer:
Yes

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Thank you for posting your question on Health Care Magic.
Unfortunately the association between EBV and lymphoma is very high .Approximately 2000,00 to 300000 EBV infected persons are devoloping lymphoma every year.
I would recommend you to get a lymphn node biopsy done at the earliest.
The muscle aches and fatigue you are experiencing is due to chronic fatigue syndrome caused by EBV.
Get yourself biopsied.
Hope this helps
Best wishes

I've read that recent studies show chronic fatigue syndrome is not a product of ebv. I've also read swollen lymph nodes are associated with ebv and lymphoma along many other ailments. I'm just wondering if it's possible for ebv to be considered "past" and still be affecting my lymph nodes and muscles? I'm waiting the results of additional blood work to rule everything else out. I'm just impatient. :)

Hope so too

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,
The acute infection in the body usually recovers by 4 weeks but the virus lingers on in an in active state and can re activate anytime .
But it is better you rule out everything and finally get biopsied.
Best wishes
