Brief Answer:
Raised ESR is not only due to GOUT

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
As I told you raised ESR can be of many causes and not just because of GOUT. You need to look for other causes of raised ESR like infection, blood disorders and liver problems.
As far as food item is concerned he is allowed to eat food with seeds removed. he can take orange, Banana, XXXXXXX ,Grapes. You just need to avoid fruit and vegetable like tomato, spinach, red meat, vine, alcohol, high protein like pulses, peas. He should also avoid binge eating like during party. Sudden increase in protein can cause acute attack of GOUT.
let me know if you want to ask any further questions.
